A Strong Bond

Regina POV

I wrap up tilling up the sales from the night, it was a good night a little bit busy there for a minute. Cleaning up the bar room floor booths making sure everything is ready for the next day. As I look out across the street at the art gallery. Emma came to mind there was just something about her. I couldn’t stop smiling thinking back to the black dress she was wearing.

As I walked outside after closing up I sit and look at they gallery one more time. All the lights were off. I smiled got in my car drove home. I get home walking threw the door and my dog Henry comes rushing to me. “Awww good boy. Come on let’s go potty.” I say to him as we head in the back yard for him to use. I wonder what Emma’s doing and if maybe she was wondering what I was doing too.

Henry started to bark and it brought me back to reality. I got back in the house went up stairs and took a nice long shower. The warm water washed over me and all I could do was fade off into my thoughts as my body started to relaxed.

I get out and get into my silk pajamas. Crawling into bed I look at my empty room and think I wish I could find someone to share this house with. Henry comes running in and jumps on the bed and lays down.

The next morning I got up and seen it was 10:30am. I get dress I decided to ware my dark waist high jeans. My black tank top and curled my hair. Then did my eyeliner and mascara and was out the door. I look up at the sun it was bright and warm, much the the feeling I get ever time Emma is near.

I walk to my car and drive to the diner in town Red’s Diner. It’s always been a nice rustic place that everyone in town loves to go. I get my usual order, which is my morning coffee, eggs, pancakes and toast. “Thanks for a good start to the day as always Zelena.” I said as I finished my food drank the rest of my coffee. Zelena says. “No problem. I always enjoy my best friends company”

I head over to my bar and get ready for tonight’s shift and just before I had the door within reach Emma was just putting up a art piece in the window. I stopped and fully turned to really take in the sight. Emma’s long blond hair draped her shoulders of such a baggy tank top covered in clay, her tight jeans how they framed her legs just perfectly. Emma was beautiful but it was more then her Beaty. As I was admiring Emma’s Beaty she looked up and directly at me over her shoulder. I instantly tun and walk in the bar.

It’s like she could feel me staring what was this feeling I get when I see her the sensation of hope I feel. There was this energy force pulling us together. The pull Emma present had on me I never understood how deep it would go, but I was about to find out.

The bar looked so good and cleaned I could run this place forever. I love spending my days opening and closing my bar brings me happiness, since the break up. I hated love and hope and everything for a long time. I eventually found piece came to terms with her leaving out of the blue. Now this woman shows up and its like all the feelings came over me. I’m always trying to run into her I cant understand why after 15 years of loneliness did my heart start to actually beat again?

I wonder what could I possibly be. She was just some girl who didn’t look where she was going and spilled her drink. But Emma’s eyes were mesmerizing, the way they sparkle in the light.I hear a knock at my door. It was the land lord coming for the rent, so I go unlock ther door and great the man.

“Good afternoon Regina. How are you today?” The man said. “I’m doing quite well actually Rumple. Here’s the rent for this month.” I replied.Rumple looked around and with a smile her says “It never changes dose it?” I looked at him puzzled by what he was asking he looked deep in thought as he looked out the window. “Rumple is everything ok? You look like something is bothering you.” I say with deep concern for a friend. Rumple turns and looks at me and smiles saying “yes of course I’m just realizing how much has changed for me you know.”

I laughed and smiling saying “that’s right you and Milah just sent your youngest off to collage right.” “Indeed we did its amazing how fas feels like yesterday, all 4 of our kids running around calling names teasing each other.” Rumple said as he chuckled.

“But what about you Regina you seem to have someone new in your sights? Ive caught you staring at your new neighbor. I haven’t seen you like this side of you in a long time.” Rumple added. Regina’s face as red as a stop sign. “She just a girl. I don’t know her quite well yet.” Regina says trying to avid Rumples question. “If you say so catch you later.” Rumple said while leaving. Regina watched Rumple leave then trying to gather her thoughts she found herself looking out the window across the street where Emma was setting up a display.
