Devouring my food I couldn’t stop myself from smiling like a little girl, savouring every bite it tasted just as perfect as it looked. Still deciding what to do after leaving here, I had no other option than to go back to my apartment as boring as that could be.
I had been an introvert for a greater part of my life so it never gets any worse I was already used to the lifestyle.
“I still have a couple of hours before leaving, I could show you around the mansion, but I have to warn we’ll be needing to enter several other lifts” everything in me kept screaming a huge no but weird enough there was just something about this stranger- I wasn’t ready to leave yet.
After finishing up our food and settling the bill, we head out into the not so familiar corridor and get on another lift.
This time around he mentioned we’d be checking out three sections the mansion boutique, wine tasting and what he called a not so complete rooftop lounge.
Starting off with the boutique and I was left speechless, high end clothes from different brands were all lined up on different shelves and mannequins. Good thing I wasn’t rich cause spending all my money in here would have been the only thing on my mind.
Time went by fast and we were already onto the wine tasting, the aesthetics of this section was extremely gorgeous. Everything about it just screamed fancy and sophisticated.
Considering the fact I had drank a good amount, spending time here wasn’t much on my plans. I couldn’t risk passing out or disgracing myself.
We were finally welcomed to the rooftop by a big maroon door, the only one in the mansion. Oddly, I had expected the lounge to be fully packed with people buzzing in all areas, but reverse was the case.
We were asked for our access cards which Gregory seemed to have because he showed the bouncer something and that was all it took for him to let us in. Inside the lounge had just five tables, one at each end and a large one in the middle.
All were adorned with various fruits and desserts; expensive looking drinks and some card games I don’t think I’d ever seen. A lady sat in the middle of the room with a piano in front of her playing so magically.
It was indeed a scene to behold. She finished off with her notes while a few people either applauded or nodded heads in approval of her art and then the jazz night started.
Immediately the beats went off some couples stood a distance away from their tables to dance while the rest headed to the dance floor to enjoy their night. I was part of the rest; I had a thing for dancing and I just couldn’t hide it.
I could feel Greg eyes intensely on me as I danced perfectly to each beat and rhythm and that was when the alcohol began to set in. Starting to get a bit wobbly, but I refused to leave the dance floor. Just on cue I felt an arm wrap around me, but that scent was impossible to miss, especially when I had spent my last few hours with him.
“I don’t think you should be dancing after all you’ve had tonight”
“Stop being a prude and have some fun, that’s why you’re here after all. Just live in the moment” I knew he was right cause without his arms around me I was certain my knees would be giving out.
“Are you always this stubborn?”
“Sometimes” but that was it, just when I was about to kill the floor one more, I nearly lost my balance and that was all the cue he needed. Dragging me back to our table, I realized I had started startling with my words. What a way to end the night. I was gone.
“You’re badly wasted we need to get you out of here, got an address?”
“Evyyss-eivv-” not even sure I had muttered my apartment correctly all I wanted right now was to sleep. Nothing else mattered right now.
“Since you are way gone, we’d be heading over to mine. My driver should be here in no time”
And with that he took me out of the lounge and to the driveway where we entered what I’d assumed was a car, I could hear a man mumbling in front of us, but that was all I remembered before passing out.
