Vanessa woke up immediately from the dream feeling so confused and sad. Her mother was angry with her and she couldn't blame anyone but herself. She failed to listen to her mother's instruction and she had been bearing the consequences ever since. But she remembered the necklace and wondered why her mother said it didn't belong to her.
She took a glance at her neck and touched the necklace that had never left her since her mother gave it to her. She played with it and observed it carefully, it had the picture of a Phoenix engraved on the pendant.
