Vanessa opened the door and stepped out of the house. She inhaled the scent of the fresh air into her nostrils. It felt too good to be true. She was giddy with excitement. She closed the door and deliberated on what to do first.
She couldn't go out yet. What Kev, the bartender, and the bounty hunters had done to her the day before still clung to her and she hadn't forgotten. She couldn't leave the house yet.
She felt safe within the walls of the castle. She would go out some other time. Moreover, the castle was a big place to tour. By the time she was done at noon, she would be tired and need rest and after a long day well spent.
