"What did you say?"
"Macy, I know we've only just met and there's still a lot about each other that we don't know. But I really believe that you and I will be good together." He walked up to where Macy stood and took her hand in his. "Macy, please give me a chance. I promise to treat you right."
She looked up at her step father and saw that he had a broad smile on his face, clearly he was happy about what was going on.
Her mother wasn't smiling or frowning, Macy didn't understand the expression on her face.
Sage didn't show any expression either, but she could tell what was on her mind...and she was thinking it too.
If she said yes to Jeremy, that would mean she had to completely forget about Liam. That way, her mother could live happily with the man she married.
