Chapter Five AIDEN The pain is in no way describable. And as they whisk Clay away to put on the right clothing, they help me to get onto a surgery table-bed-thing. It’s cool under my skin, but almost everything is better than having to sit on the other bed any longer… “My water broke…” I look at the wet spot on the other bed. The nurse shrugs a little. “Happens all the time.
