Holding Danny is so precious, and I’m so happy to be finally holding him. I hated when I saw Aiden fade away, when the anaesthetic started to work and he slid away.
I kept holding him, I kept holding onto him tightly. I just needed to make sure he was really still here. And I didn’t want to let him go.
Luckily, I didn’t have to watch everything that was going on, they put a sheet between me and what they were doing to Aiden’s belly. But that didn’t mean that I couldn’t hear everything, or see shadows on the sheet.
