Chapter Six
AIDEN
I try to get the little bow on Seb’s suit to look right, but he’s just not sitting still. He has no idea what’s going on or why he has to dress up, and he’s getting a little impatient with it all.
We picked up suits for everyone, Clay, me, Seb, Danny and Mikey, festive and beautiful suits.
“Daddy…” Seb pouts at me, something he’s already realised works most of the time to get out of something he doesn’t like, but not today.
“Just a little bit longer. Just a moment.” I try the bow again, and this time it does go the way I want it to. I step back a little, looking at him, and nod. “Now you look right.”
Seb turns around and looks in the mirror behind him, he’s curious for a moment, but then seems to shrug and looks at me. “Dad?”
