Chapter Two

I love watching Aiden look around the place, to see him in my house. I don’t know what it is, but just bringing him here… It feels right.
I know it’s all a little fast and that I shouldn’t be focusing on this. I know that I should be focusing on getting our lives back together.
But I wanted to give him at least something fun and interesting in all of this mess that we’re in. I wanted a little distraction, even for a few moments. I carefully put Seb down, the little man looking around himself curiously, entertained for at least a while longer.
I step outside, following Aiden, standing behind him for a moment before I reach out and wrap one arm around him as I step next to him. I love having him here and I love holding him even more. “What do you think?”
