Amelia woke up to the sound of people talking.
When she opened her eyes, she saw her parents, Jake's Mom, Old Benj and Lisa by her bedside. Jake was seated close to her, holding his hand.
Amelia called out for her Mom. She started crying.
“Oh baby, you’re safe now. Shhhh.” Her Mom told her. His Dad was also by her side. He embraced her with her Mom in between.
She saw Lisa and Old Benj, Lisa gave her a flying kiss. “Thank you,” Amelia told them.
Jake took her hand after her parents let go of her. Jake’s Mom came closer, caressing her hair. “Welcome back Amelia.” She said.
“Thank you, everyone.” She said.
