Amelia and Chad ran to the barn where Chad’s father Nick and Old Benj were. When they reached the door, the two were laughing, lying on a heap of hay.
“What happened?” Chad asked, relieved to see the two giggling on top of the hay.
“We fell from the second floor!” Nick answered, still laughing.
“And our heavy bums luckily fell on this pile of hay.” Old Benj added. “Imagine if I have already tidied this up just like what Lisa was telling me to do. Good thing I am a stubborn old man.” Old Benj told them, evidently drunk.
Chad and Amelia looked at each other then laughed. “So I guess it’s time to go home for us,” Chad told Amelia. “I’ll pick you up in the morning?
