I sat there and thanked the gods that her medication kicked in quickly. I didn't know how to tell her that her whole life had been a lie. That I had been a lie.
Every time her heart rate quickened, I tensed. I knew the moment I told her my role in the world Murin's world, I would lose her. I would have rather Murin used the blackbird.
