Chapter Three The one thing you couldn’t miss in the stands was the intensity of the crowd. They cheered and jeered during each fight. “Come here often?” asked the man next to her. She turned her head to face him. He was an older man, probably late fifties with a gap in his smile, but seemed nice overall. “First time,” she told him. “Not a lot of women like this sort of thing.” They were between fights. Chad’s being the headline fight, it was the next and final fight of the night. “I’m not most women,” she joked. “My dad is Rich Williams.” The man’s eyes lit up with recognition. “Well, ain’t that just something?” “Indeed.” She didn’t hide who her father was, though that was probably what had landed her a sports reporter job that she was no good at. “I heard he’s coaching the fella
