Chapter Fourteen
She had spent the Thursday and most of Friday debating on going to the fight. For some reason, Robert had accepted her stories about the other fighters instead of Chad, with minimal yelling and she’d never been more grateful in her life.
Robert had been clear that all she’d done was buy herself more time. She still needed to come up with the article about the main fighter. She was screwed but had a job as long as she could continue to stall.
Tonight there were a few fights scheduled, and she’d been working herself up to going. They were happening at Tommy’s gym, so it wasn’t like she needed to go far. She just didn’t want to run into Chad again.
