Chapter Five Kendall was running behind, as usual, and didn’t get to the gym until practice was well underway. It had been so long since she’d been to the gym to visit her father that a weird sort of nostalgia settled over her as she looked around. This gym, while very popular with the locals, had seen better days, but oddly, it looked the same as she remembered it. The hanging punching bags were well-worn with faded paint from overuse. The number of pictures on the wall had grown, but she recognized right away the ones of her father that had been there longer than she could remember. A glass case was on the wall near a desk.
