I sat with Josh in my office, staring blankly at the paper in my hand. My mind was a million miles away, consumed by thoughts that had been plaguing me for days. Josh’s sudden question snapped back to reality.
“Are you okay?” He asked, his brows furrowed with concern.
I looked up at him, took a deep breath, and exhaled slowly. I wanted to confide in him, something that had been burning inside me. But I hesitated, unsure if I was ready to reveal something so personal.
“Josh…” I began, my voice barely above a whisper.
Josh’s eyes locked onto mine, his gaze was patient and encouraging, He knew me too well, and I could sense his curiosity piqued.
