CHAPTER NINETEEN : HE dared betray me 2

"but she's a baby"

"This is how business work, kill to get" Rex explained.

"Your time is ticking Ted and I'm running out of patience.....you see"

"I won't talk ok.....go ahead and kill her since she's a bastard anyway" Ted replied back.

The words Ted uttered without fear put everyone of them present petrified. Rex couldn't believe what he heard.

What father would call their child a bastard just for some damn stupid loyalty?.

Dylan blurted out in rage as he grabbed Ted's collar shirt.

"Are you out of your mind......what type of father sacrifice their own biological chid for some stupid code uh?!!" He was heating in rage. "You know" he paused and stared right into his eyes " you are a disgrace to fatherhood".

Ted roared out.

" She's my daughter not yours and I definitely own her life.... keep those lectures to yourself".

Rex couldn't control his anger when he heard those words. He took out the gun that was from Dylan's back pocket. Without thinking twice, he shot directly at the man's forehead. The bullet pieced into his head and he fell down on spot.

"Rex!!"

"Boss!!".

Both Dylan and the other men called out Rex's name simultaneously having noticed the scene before them.

"You killed him...I thought" Dylan cried.

"Did you think I'll harm an innocent child just to get the truth out of him?".

Then unexpectedly, Rex said unconsciously "she doesn't even want me...what am I lacking?".

Dylan stared at him like some crazy person infuriated with something.

"What's up with him now?" He thought.

"But he was about to tell us the truth...you know he will, then why?".

"He chose that damn code over his own child....he f*****g chose that code over the little girl....now you tell me what father in his right mind would do that.... TELL ME!!" Rex uttered in anger.

"Anyway he betrayed me...He dared betray me, he was one of my men but he shifted to our rival's side. I don't care about his family, I would have still killed him anyway".

"But still, he has a wife and daughter at home waiting for him...you shouldn't have killed him".

"Look Dylan, you are always the odd one in the families.....I thought that was Ian but guess he is more than to meet in the eye. Did those ladies tamper with your brain like they tampered with your body uh?".

Dylan's face instantly flushed red.

"What are you spouting out brother.....all I'm saying is that he has people waiting for him?".

"And so what......I give no damn and now that he's dead ....get rid of the body" he said leaving the room in a fit of rage.

"Do you guys know why he has been moody today......did something unusual happen?".

"Nothing really happened" Gareth, one of the two men answered.

"Well, there's definitely something bothering him and I'll find out no matter what?".

"But how?" Ivan, the other man asked

"I'll look for a way" he answered back and left , leaving the men with the corpse.

............

Meanwhile

"He is dead" a baritone voice from the other line of the call replied.

"They killed him" the receiver of the call cried.

"Yes Mr Ross" the voice replied

"Alright, you can start working on the plan B and make sure this plan works......we need the three other sections of the code to complete the format" the man called Mr Ross cried

"Yes boss"

"Don't disappoint me like Ted?".

He said as he hung up the call.

"Rex,...... Rex....I guess I underestimated your power....ummmm...not bad but you should definitely watch your back....you don't know what can bite you....we will meet again" the man laughed out weirdly.
