Avalon's POV:
"Do you girls have everything?" Dad asks as we prepare to leave in an hour to meet the others.
"Yes, Dad," I reply, nodding.
We spoke to Mom last night; she finally answered after a busy week of back-to-back flights. I was relieved to hear she was okay.
Dad's birthday is this Friday, so Avery and I plan to do something special for him when we return home.
"Be safe, okay? And Avery, make sure Donovan knows his boundaries," he says, hugging us.
"When's your flight?"
"11 am. I'll call you girls tomorrow," he promises.
