ELARA’S POV
Since I was getting impatient, I decided to call River. We agreed to meet at 10:30 a.m., but it was past 11, and he still hadn't arrived. My mom kept asking me, and of course, I couldn't help but wonder if he had changed his mind again.
"Hello?" he answered from the other line, which somewhat relieved me. "Miss me already, baby?" he asked with a grin. Even though we weren't together, I knew it, and I could sense him laughing.
"No, not at all!" I quickly denied it. "Where are you? You said 10:30, and you haven't updated me. I was starting to worry about what happened to you."
"Okay, sorry, I had an early business meeting; I didn't realize the time," he calmly explained, and I couldn't help but smile. "Anyway, the wedding will happen in two days; are you ready?"
