"Mom, what should I do now?" I asked her tearfully. We were still inside the hospital room where Ryder left us.
"That's why I'm asking you if you're really determined to raise that child. Because if not, I know someone who can help; in that way, we can still salvage our reputation m—"
"No, Mom!" I quickly interrupted her, understanding what she meant. "Even if I don't know the father of this child or what kind of person he is, I still can't do that because the child isn't at fault for what's happening. If there's anyone to blame, it's me, and I won't involve the child in the wrong decisions I made in my life."
"If that's the case, let’s go!" She invited me, causing me to raise an eyebrow.
