We made it to his room and I pushed the door open. Something inside me just clicked. The apology from his mother. The doubt, but sure fire connection from Ayden. Everything being put out there just dissipated my conflict. Everything out there just reminded me that everything is okay and I’m safe. I’m with my mate. I’m with my family that I will come to love. Past or otherwise.
