Once we made it through all the…heavy conversation, we decided to shift the conversation to a lighter topic. In the end, I told her I hate scary movies because the actors seem to be annoying and unintelligent. She laughed at my thoughts and confessed she hates ants and thinks celery is a strange thing to eat.
It got us laughing and revealed more about each other without too much pressure. It was relaxing. After about an hour of driving, I started to feel guilty about making her come to me. Her place is nowhere near downtown. “Sorry about this.” I said, finally realizing I should say something about my obnoxious request.
She looked at me quizzically and wrinkled her nose. “Sorry about what? So far I can’t say I’m not having fun.” She asked, grinning.
