“I’m ready to go back in.” I said with conviction.
She spun around as she started to walk toward Tye, now sleeping in the corner. He must be exhausted dealing with Ayden, and I’m going to just sit here and relax when I should be getting out of here? No way. “Excuse me?”
“I’m ready to go back in. My life didn’t stop when I was tired, and I won’t stop my training under that poor excuse either.” I added shortly.
She pursed her lips. “Are you sure? This one might be a challenge.”
I chuckled dryly. I knew what was next. I can’t run from it. I nodded and finished off the rest of the soup. I crossed my legs and closed my eyes. I can do this. I’ve lived through it before.
I took a deep breath, ignoring her words of caution, and allowed my mind to consume me.
