A NIGHT OUT
After Daniela’s dance performance, the group stood outside and waited for her in the warm, breezy air. When Daniela rushed out, she stopped in her tracks at the sight of Rafael.
Blanca and Kim rushed forward and wrapped their arms around her. “You were amazing,” said Blanca. She looked over at Rafael with a questioning look. Was Blanca trying to get Rafael’s approval of her dance, or trying to match-make them?
“Truly spectacular,” said Kim.
They walked towards Rafael and Carlos, with Daniela nodding in his direction, shock evident in her eyes. She hadn’t known he was coming, and his chest tightened at the idea that she didn’t want him here.
