Thank goodness Jori had come along. He didn’t ask questions about how she would handle potential dissenters, or whether she was nervous the Kingdom would accept her over her mother, or if she was in a secret relationship with a former enemy.
Instead, he made their stops more interesting, although the guards weren’t always happy with his antics. With so much time to think, she was glad for the distraction. Late at night, and sometimes early in the morning, the Unreal provided excellent distraction too.
In all, fourteen people accompanied Kiria on the coronation tour. The luggage alone required three people to look after it. They brought banners, diplomatic gifts, and elaborate outfits. Guards, servants, a guide, a doctor, and a cook all made up the traveling party.
