Episode 1: The Coffee Collision
The lobby of Wolfe Enterprises glistened with white marble and towering glass. Aurora Bennett clutched her handbag tightly, dodging sharply dressed executives as she raced through the revolving doors.
“First day and I’m already ten minutes late. Great start, Aurora,” she mumbled, breathless from her sprint across downtown.
She entered the elevator, balancing her coffee while checking her lipstick in a compact mirror. Just as the doors were closing, a large hand stopped them. In walked a tall man in a charcoal suit, crisp, cold, and exuding authority.
Aurora moved aside instinctively, but the jolt of the elevator starting made her stumble. The coffee flew.
"Ah!" She gasped in horror as a dark splash stained the stranger’s expensive suit.
He didn’t flinch, only looked down at the spill on his chest, then up at her. His eyes were steel-gray, sharp enough to cut glass.
“Miss,” he said with deadly calm. “You do realize you’ve just ruined a ten-thousand-dollar suit?”
Aurora turned pale. “Oh no. I am so, so sorry. I— I didn’t mean to—”
He held up a hand. “Don’t bother. What department are you with?”
She hesitated. “Temporary admin... with Mr. Wolfe.”
The man arched a brow. “Interesting. Because I am Mr. Wolfe.”
The air in the elevator dropped ten degrees.
Before she could stammer another word, the doors opened on the executive floor.
“Be in my office in five minutes,” he said coldly as he stepped out, not even looking back. “And bring tissues. You’ll need them.”
Aurora stood frozen. “I just made the worst first impression of my life.”
