The sunlight was what awoke Emma before the alarm. She was pressed against a warm pillow that moved, and as she opened her eyes, she realized she was draped over Matthew’s whole body, who was also holding onto her tightly. She closed her eyes and snuggled back into his chest as an alarm went off. A small groan sounded from below her, and a hand left her back and silenced the alarm. Her skin went cold from the loss of contact as she realized both his hands were under his shirt and resting on her bare skin.
