CHAPTER NINE June 12, 1937 ~ Dr. Steven’s Journal ~ I watched the woman through the window as she ran to a pickup truck. She hopped inside, and slammed the door. Oh no. ”Was that? Was she family of one of the … ?” The man who had been sitting with her slowly stood and turned to face me. He towered over me and I’m very tall and lanky.
