If Eloise and Simon are having such a romantic time in their room, then Cesca and Phillip seem to be going through something much different.
Phillip is still living in the room that Cesca and Eloise were supposed to share after Eloise left. The crazy idea the man wrote down in the dream box, eventually made the condition look like this.
If Eloise and Simon initially felt awkward, then it didn't apply to Cesca and Phillip.
"You want to sit there all night?" Cesca's distinctive voice filled the entire room. Eloise had obviously closed the room door, leaving Cesca and Phillip inside.
