Chapter Nine“Miss Moffat!” I heard the voice as from a long distance away. “Miss Moffat!” Somebody was calling me, although I did not know who, or why. I lay still, wishing whoever it was would leave me in peace. I was quite comfortable lying still, watching through the green curtain of grass as the hunt galloped away. A spider scurried through the grass, its legs lifting daintily. “Miss Moffat! Robyn!” I took a gasping breath, feeling the air burning my lungs. “Who's that?” I was unsure if I was in my bed, or flying to the moon. “It's me, Adam Carmichael. Let me help you up.” I felt Mr Carmichael's strong hands on my arms. “Can you stand? Is anything broken?” I did not know yet.
