Chapter 2: Love at first sight?

555 Words
I was never one to believe in Love at first sight, but this s*x god like man in front of me had me doubting my beliefs. I stared up at him and my eyes landed on his lips. They were thick and naturally rosy. All I wanted to do was pull his head down for a kiss. Just to see how his lips would taste. “Hey, are you okay?” he asked again, waving his hand in front of my face. I quickly snapped out of my trance. I realised how close his face was to mine and I immediately felt flustered and tried to get off the swing while trying to avoid any sort of contact with him. Wrong move. I tripped on my massive gown. The s*x god tried to catch me, but I fell on top of him instead. His hand had come up to catch me but instead had ended up on my chest. I was face to face with him.  “Oh my god.I am so sorry!” he blushed and took his hand away.  A small part of me was disappointed that he had removed his hands so fast. I was just starting to get used to having his hands on me. I was surprised at how X rated my thoughts had become after having laid my eyes on him. We made eye contact and there seemed to be a flash of lust in his eyes. I could not tell if it was my situation or just the sheer spontaneity of what was going on, but I started to lean in for a kiss. I guess I just wanted one crazy adventure before I was forced to be tied down to a stranger. That is when I realized that I was in my backyard, on top of a stranger who had magically appeared here. Who was this stranger, and what was he doing in my backyard? This realisation brought me back to my senses and I scrambled to get off him. “Who are you?” I asked sternly, dusting off my gown. “Well, my family is here for some marriage meeting and I thought I'd look around.” he replied like that was so obvious.  I guess it was kind of obvious, but I clearly lacked the mental capacity at that point to have inferred that. “Who else would have been here today? Gosh Rachel! You can be so stupid at times.” I scolded myself in my head. If this man was my husband to be, I had no objections whatsoever. “Have some pride” the better part of me told me. Now, what was his name? I should have listened when my parents were talking. “Rachel, I see that you have met Daniel. It is time to come in now though” my thoughts were interrupted by my dad who had just come out the backyard door. I looked at Daniel and he seemed to be staring at me with a look that I could not comprehend.  He must think I had some sort of issue or something. I most probably did. I did just imagine a future with this man in a span of ten minutes. What was I thinking? Before I knew it, he took my hand and lead me inside.
