Forgiveness had made room for growth, and silence had taught her strength. Glory stopped trying after that note. She acted like nothing happened, laughing with her new friends, but her eyes occasionally searched for Abike in the crowd—maybe hoping for a smile, a nod, a sign. But Abike never gave one. She had learned that not all friendships are meant to last forever. Some are lessons, some are blessings, and some are both. Abike had built new bonds. Mufidat remained her closest friend, and together they formed a small circle that was warm, honest, and safe. There were no competitions, no accusations—just mutual love and respect. One day after school, there was a program on forgiveness. The speaker said, *“Sometimes, the apology you need will never come. And that’s okay. Healing is a decision you make for yourself.”* Abike’s heart nodded in agreement. Later that evening, she posted something on her status: *“To the friendship that broke me but taught me strength—I forgive you. I’ve moved on, not because you deserved it, but because I deserved peace.”* Glory saw it. She didn’t reply.She didn’t need to. Abike was no longer waiting for her to.
