As they drove on, H2 listened to DBO, who told her about the old lady with the walking stick who wasn’t an old lady, robots on verandas which to H2 sounded like fun, and arguments in Bunnie and Co’s car. DBO then explained where the Johnny Gets Legless shindig as Archie put it was to be performed, what Bunnie would like to do to Beryl, and how the others thought this was totally illegal.
Archie pulled out one of his notebooks and passed it to H2, a woman whose tidy habits—as opposed to Beryl’s someone else will pick it up attitude—impressed him.
Thanks to Beryl, his neat-as-a-pin car was now littered with her coffee cups and napkins.
