The Explosion
“A fairy godmother does not always need a wand.”—The ugly sister
Eddie was a drag queen who loved to talk; once he opened his mouth he could not stop, and today was no different. He had a story to tell and no one was going to interrupt—not even a dominating Beryl. In fact, that was why Beryl was lumbered with him. The other members of the show were fed up and wanted rid of him.
Eddie in his strong mid Atlantic accent explained about his costumes, his role in the new Cinderella For Men show, which had come all the way from an unknown town in America. Then, ignoring Beryl’s blank look, he explained the various meanings of “I’m your fairy godmother.”
Beryl after several attempts of “are we near the Lizard Lounge yet?” finally gave up.
