Beth’s P.O.V.
Noah informed us that Steph had waked up and better than before. I felt relieved. She had a high-grade fever throughout the night. Noah didn’t sleep for a second. He stayed beside her all night. Both Jenny and I insisted him to take a rest for a while but he refused every time. He was looking so worried for her that he wouldn't want to leave her for a second. Jenny wanted to tell him what deteriorated Steph’s condition but I stopped her. It was not our story to tell him.
Mr MacField woke up late in the night. He was in a lot of pain and barely able to open his eyes. He looked around for Steph and I told him that she went home to take some rest as it was already night. He bought my lie and slept peacefully. I stayed with him for the night and Jenny went home.
