GEORGIA I stepped out onto the hard concrete, instantly flanked by my heavy security detail. My heart was hammering a frantic, erratic rhythm against my ribs, fueled by my furious anger and deep, cold nervousness. Every single fiber of my being wanted to march up to his office and tear his arrogant face apart with my bare hands for what he had done to my company. But I was absolutely terrified that my blinding rage would make me do something stupid and reckless. I could not afford to lose my temper, not when the survival of my entire empire and the safety of my daughter were hanging perfectly in the balance.
