He got to the shop and his normal routine followed and then when the day turned into night, he packed up his mom's market and came home, nothing special or out of the normal happened today which was kind of relaxing for him. A week and a few days flashed by in a jiffy, It was currently a Sunday morning, Sundays were the only days in a week that Samuel had the chance to rest and write as much chapters as he could, and so he was always in good mood on Sundays. Samuel was snapped out of the dreamland earlier by the loud music his brother was playing earlier with a speaker. Of course he was quite furious after being awakened so harshly and so his first reaction was to lash out, and his brother being the annoying boy he was refused to back down and instead increased the volume of the music, The first born which was his sister had already gone to the parlour not wanting to get involved, and Samuel still owed Michael a debt of respect as he was still the junior one, and so he had no choice but to back down. Not long after, His brother switched of the music, He obviously was just looking for someone to annoy earlier, Samuel on the other hand went to the bathroom and washed his face a bit before returning to the room. He picked up his phone and strolled straight to where m*******l app could be found on it, The thing was, he had already reached the required number of words to apply for a contract on m*******l and he had applied for one a few days ago, and so everyday, he always checks the app to see whether m*******l officials had finally signed his contract, and then draft a few chapters to upload, this was to make it known to them that he was willing to continue the story to the end and won't lag behind. He got into the app and immediately clicked on the writers block on the app, after clicking, he was taken to a page where all his stories were displayed, and so he clicked on the icon indicating the current story he was writing. A new page was unveiled before him, The chapters of his novel neatly aligned, and then at the top right corner of the screen was where the notifications symbol laid, A number was labeled right above the notifications icon, It was a number three. His heart immediately started racing, as his brain immediately started forming countless fantasy worlds of different scenarios, where all were linked to w******l signing his contract or not and his reaction to it. He finally summoned a bit of courage to click on the notifications icon as earlier his body was filled with this fear of another disappointed which he had faced this past few days, and his hands kept on shaking, as chill ran through his spine. As he clicked on it three notifications popped up on a new page, one of them read 'Your story has gained one collection', The second read 'Your story received a review' and then the third surprisingly read what he had actually anticipated, "Congratulations, Your contract has been accepted, Go to the contract block to view the contract details, and also keep on with the frequent update and good writing to get an upgrade once the contract expired. Thank you' "Aaaaahhhhhhhhhhahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahhaahhahaha" A crazy shout which was then followed by sarcastic laughter escaped his mouth. "Aaaahahhahahhahaha" A crazy shout acomplained with a sarcastic laughter escaped his lips, Not just any human could possibly be able to fathom the sought of happiness that hit him just now, It was just like that feeling you get when someone saved you from falling into a deep pit right before you fell even when all signs showed that there was no visible person nearby, That was the kind of happiness he was currently experiencing. Michael who heard his scream ran from the parlour to the room thinking something bad happened, but by the time he got to the room even though it was only in a few seconds, Samuel had already recomposed himself. "Why did you yell, what happened". Michael asked Samuel in a probing tone, but Samuel on the other hand just acted normal and replied, " it 's just something I saw online", Michael couldn't sense anything wrong as Samuel didn't necessarily lie, all he did was tell the truth in the most suitable manner for the situation at hand. Samuel didn't want Michael knowing about it, not because he didn't like him or any negative thing, on the contrary, he wasn't planning on even telling his parent or anybody now, he wanted to make quite the money and also make sure that it was authentic before breaking the news, as he could already imagine the embarrassment he would face, if all his action later turned out to have no meaning. Michael not finding anything out of place returned to the parlour and lied back on the chair which he was previously laying on. Samuel on the other hand still hadn't managed to fully tame the joy in his body, He was only forcefully hiding it. He just couldn't begin to imagine how his life would turn for the better once m*******l starts paying him his money. Suddenly everywhere seemed to go quiet as Samuel closed his eyes and slowly began to render thanks to his lord, deep within he believed without him, none of these was possible, and he would not have gotten accepted, one must know that there should be an estimate of 200 000 m*******l writers and yet probably only 30 to 50 percent ends up getting their contract signed, this was a great privilege that he would forever be thankful to God and m*******l officials for giving him, of course he also felt that his hard work and diligence also played a crucial role. After the Prayer, he stood up and picked up one of his shirt that was somewhere nearby and used it to clean the tears pouring down from his eyes which he hadn't noticed earlier. After that, he went back to the bed and picked of his phone, he hadn't turned off the m*******l app earlier and so the phone was still connected to it. He remembered he had not viewed the contracts and so he went to view it, since it was an exclusive contract, he had a huge expectation from it. as he got logged in to the contract page, "Ahhhh" another scream almost escaped his mouth but he firmly held it, As the page open the first thing his eyes scrolled to was the salary and what he saw there was really shocking for someone like him, The contract salary was 400 dollars per month provided there was a steady update, This was something that brought his joy to another level. 1 dollar was about a thousand naira in Nigeria and so 400 dolars equaled 400 thousands naira in Nigeria. After a bit if silent celebration, he decided to write more chapters as he didn't want m*******l officials feeling he had gotten lazy. "Should I put in some spoilers or I should just go on with the novel straight" Samuel thought inwardly. After a bit of thinking, he felt he should just keep it straight for now as that was more likely to be enjoyed by his fans now. He immediately started writing and not to long after, he was already done with the first chapter, and in about two hours, by now he had already written six chapters. You might be wandering while it took him so much time to write the chapters, but one thing you have to understand is that he had to think thoroughly and make sure his stories had no obvious bad flaws as if it did, it would definitely be a measure attractor of trolls looking for people to troll at. Today, he decided to stop at six chapters as he had other things he needed to do. He immediately rushed his other Sunday duties and routines an then came back to the room. "Bammmmm" A loud clashing sound invaded the air, This sound was generated by Samuel pouncing on the bed. As he was done with taken his daily routine, he felt he should take a quick nap, He immediately closed his eyes and drowned him self into the dream world. A few hours later, he was woken up by a really firm hand, feeling the hand tap on his body three times, he immediately new that it was his dad and so he forced himself awake immediately. "Come and eat your food" The man squatting a bit in front of Samuel said,This was Samuel's dad,he was quite fat but then he still had muscled standing on his arms. "Yes sir" Samuel stood up immediately, and then he remembered that this was the first time they were meeting today as his dad and mom had already gone to church before he woke up earlier. "Good morning sir, How was church, Are you just coming back" Samuel said "Yes, Today's program was quite the long one" His dad responded, his dad name was Victor. "Sorry, So have you had your own meal" Samuel asked his father with a smile on his faced and his father in response looked at him with a doting face and then said "Yes, I just need to go have some rest now in preparation of tomorrow's market" . Samuel's hands slid behind his back and then he clenched it, he was angry that his dad will have to go that rough market to start hassling for customers with kids he could give birth to do. Samuel tried his birth to hide his anger and despair, but his dad did notice it but then pretended he didn't. Samuel had suggested that he come and join his daddy in ladipo market instead of staying at iyana ejibo as he felt that way he would be able to help his dad more, but his dad blatantly refused both him and his brother saying he doesn't want his children to go through that kind of life while he was still present in this world. "Don't think to much" Samuel's dad, Victor, said as he rubbed Samuel's head and then worked towards the room, Samuel on the other hand just smiled in return not wanting to stress his dad to much.
