Roman had finally upgraded his makeshift office in the warehouse. Though it wasn’t much, he had some of his employees knock down the wall separating his office and an empty store room and add some much-needed natural sunlight with some large windows. He was glad he had found this warehouse in the middle of nowhere, or people would have begun asking questions by now. But he had gotten himself a much bigger desk, with a much more comfortable chair. There was now a small seating area and a small shelf; it was nowhere near how many books he held at home, but it would have to do for now; these things took time. The corrugated walls still needed doing; he was sick of looking at the sheets of metal jankly screwed to the wall, and the concrete with bloodstains he hadn’t left, but he saw no point
