Soren knew this time would come; after all, Summer break wasn’t meant to last forever, and the ones who studied would have to go back to their dorms eventually, but he always thought he had a little more time with them. He truly did. But just as in the previous two years, they would have to leave soon, and he would miss them all terribly, so until they came home for Christmas break, and he would get used to having them around again, only for them to leave soon enough. He knew this was what life was all about, you spent your childhood with these people and then you grew up and lived your own lives, but he hadn’t known them since childhood, he’d only been with them for five years, and now it was like he was expected to just let them go, when he felt like he didn’t get enough time with them.
