I woke up sometime around noon. It took me more than five seconds to finally remember where I was and with it came the memories of what had happened yesterday and early morning. The room I was in was dark and if not for the digital clock hanging at a corner of the room, I would have mistaken noon for night. I gently got down from the bed making sure it was well arranged before putting my jacket that I had removed before back on. Taking a deep breath, I padded through the room, my empty feet absorbing all the warmth the soft rug gave me.
