CHAPTER 8: A Valorous lad 2 .

Robert drove back home after dropping Catherine with an exasperation mood to see Catherine begging for forgiveness for her parent's filthy history.He felt helpless ,  filled with vexation leaving a sleepless night . Catherine's father on the other hand ,was on his target to his next plan as wicked as ever . The next morning , Catherine woke up to a heavy headache due to her injury but she still decided to attend the office since it was the date of media exposure and research . She wore a light simple dress with nude heels but her Beauty  is always ethereal even without a touch of makeup . It was already a time to start off the office  and Robert arrived there  with a haste to cancel Catherine's  project to  help  her get out from  stress  with heavy workloads and since she also had injuries "staffs! someone volunteer her work  for today and cancel her project ." Ordered  Robert . Catherine and stuffs stood there stunned gazing surprised to Robert's sudden order .She looked weak but since both of them are  Masters of masking their tender side  ,they played their act well. Robert asked her to come inside his office room for a chat leaving all the staffs members in awe of their good chemistry. Catherine went inside there startled  "why are you cancelling my project ? May I know the reason Mr leech ?"  questioned Catherine to Robert  confidently . He gazed at her for a long minute  concerned for her weak body  but acted cold  enough "sheesh! I told you , I'm not a leech anymore .You are . I want only smart ones to attend this project but not a weak sheep.If you know what I mean ." Answered Robert  . Catherine was fussed for Robert calling her a weakling "my hands are itching , can I just punch you !? "  Yelled Catherine .  Robert started to tease her gently  "you're most welcome to do so .  I'd be the happiest ." Smirking on his handsome face and got closer to Catherine . She was highly strung  googling her eyes "hey .... What ? You're trying to woo me ? I'm I that easy looking to fall for a rude man like you ? "  shivering words out of nervousness .  Robert just sat calm on the table close to her chair  asking  " huh! You thought I'll fall for you ? had your breakfast? You look like a stick today . Does your head hurts ? You think you can go out interviewing medias at this condition? It'll be a slap to my company if my employee faints in the middle of the interviewing process . Or you still want to attend your project?" He got closer to her face asking all these quizzing. She realized his concern and started to stammer out of embarrassment "um! I.....I.... am .....fine .I'm okay ! Yeah ! Hahaha! but , to be honest ,you're right .I'm not actually okay ." Frowned her face . Robert stood up looking back  at the skyscrapers through the glass windows of his office and said  " your clavicle is getting deeper .  Don't try to act like one of those skyscrapers  when you're just a hut " sighed Robert . "Go back home for today ,and attend in time after some days off from work whenever your health improves " suggested Robert to Catherine . She accepted without a hesitation and took an immediate leave for she understood his concern for her health . Meanwhile, As she went down to her car to drive home , Robert noticed  some men from the opposite building  pointing out a gun aim straight to Catherine's head  through his office .  He hurriedly  contacted Catherine and ran  down the stairs  with a swift leaving the stuffs members shocked  "stop the car now ! don't stay still ,  And get back inside the office . Now!! " Yelled Robert to Catherine through his call ,while she was getting ready to start off the car .  He ran down as fast as his feet could carry to rescue her and reached the spot on time .  Confused Catherine stood there looking at the panicking face of Robert  ,but as the gun shot attacked , It slipped Catherine and got hit to Robert's arm instead  while blocking her . He grabbed her tight to his arm with gallons of blood dropping from his gunshot wound from his shoulder . Robert grinned in anger but let the criminals away to protect his identity . Catherine was stunned  to the incident and the sound of gunshot ,she screamed in cries out of  horror seeing  blood dripping   from Robert's shoulder  "NOOOO! Are you fine !? Hold on ,hold on, I'll take you to hospital right away ! Help! somebody please help us !." gasping and weeping  miserably  . Brave Robert acted calm like he got no major injury to ease her panicking  heart  despite  masking off his pain  . He smiled gently gazing to her face  "it's okay ,I'm fine .I thought I got stung by a bee  .That bullet was  too futile . " gasped Robert with a bright smile on his Handsome face with sweats all over..... for deep inside, he is in pain from the gunshot and blood dripping. "You stupid!! stop smiling  scumbag! Your body is wet with bloods and still trying to pretend cool ? " Yelled Catherine  like a crybaby with tears . The staffs contacted  an emergency hospital ,and Robert was taken there as swift  as they could . Catherine glared at him in pain who was  still bearing with no growl while removing his bullet  from the glass of the operating room . She realized how strong ,brave and caring he is after the gunshot catastrophe leaving her a feeling of guilt all the time  for saving her "ah ... how am I supposed to pay back my immense debt to this man for all these kindness ." Sighed Catherine talking all by herself . The stuffs got tensed for their boss for all the spooky unalarmed incident . Catherine stood there walking around the ground of hospital waiting for Robert's minor operation of his wounded shoulder .she was freezing with hunger ,yet sacrificing herself to wait for Robert .
