CHAPTER 4: Masked legend

Robert got back to home from the crime scene of his assistant with a plan to avenge the unknown assassin . He ran up straight to his room to treat his wounded hand leaving the helper aghast to his swift run upstairs .He informed his staffs to stay wary from any danger and took a deep sleep without informing his grandmother about the awful incident with a care to not let her get worried for him . Catherine was on her deep sleep while her parents were busy plotting wicked plans to turn down Robert's company . Her mother is equally  evil as her father , filled with selfishness . "We should zip this secret not to let our daughter get a hint about our plans " sighed her mother.  Catherine's dad was busy on his call collecting  the information about his successful murder plans and laughed in an evil tone "the only task left is to know the name of that young company boss "  and sleep away with a smirking face . The next morning ,Robert woke up early and  Planned a mission to his suspect ..He rushed to his office in a haste  with a bag of his combat outfits in his car ,but forgot to wear his watch .Robert was sitting on his desk for another round of interview  of the new candidates . Meanwhile , Catherine decided to try her luck one more time to her interview ...got dressed in a beautiful nude  floral skirt with her tight tops and a classy classy heels making her looks more alluring .She stepped in to Robert's office without knowing he's the boss of that company . The queue for interview was  quite short making her mood go light . Robert was coming out from the washroom and bumped into Catherine unknowingly . They both gave a surprising stare at each other  and smart Robert hide his injured hand  as quickly as he could . "Ah ! You .... You left your cellphone last night  on the table .How careless . And what bought you here ? "  Catherine got pissed giving him a disgusting stare and screamed at his face  "You leech! My mood just ruined after seeing your face . I'm here for an interview and not to see you ! Now give me back my phone ."  She yelled without knowing the fact that she actually is inside Robert's office . He just smiled at her gently  but all his staffs started to doubt she's someone special to him for no one dare to talk rough with him besides Catherine . His female staffs  frowning their faces with disappointment to see their boss standing handsome with a. Beautiful lady .   Robert bend down to  Catherine's ear with hands in his pocket with a gentle smile and whispered "Good luck with your interview . The boss here is undeniably handsome ."  Catherine pushed him away and said  "of course ! I'm here for him . You're jealous ? Huh ! Bye I have no time to talk nonsense with you ."  He just smirked pretending like a normal employee and walked away to his desk .  Catherine's turn was already in ,and she was asked to go inside the boss's room to start her interview . Robert covered his face with a book and  his sitting position was extremely cool . Catherine was in ,and was ready to start off her interview nervously. To her surprise , Robert put down his book and revealed his face with a cool stare straight to her face .She was stunned and blinked her eyes zillion times in a milli second like the buzz of bees . She felt embarrassed  to death but unable to let go off her dream of becoming a successful journalist , she sat back there with her cheeks blushed and sweats all over her pretty face . Robert commented critically " oh ! so you're here to see my handsome face ? But I don't fall for talkative girls .Shall we start our interview ? "  Catherine wanted to yell ,but seeing all his bodyguards around ,she just nodded her head gently.

Robert ;your full name ? 

Catherine ;It's Catherine .

Rober; Oh ! You mean cat ? (and giggled)

Her mood was pumping up but managed to stay gentle with a fake smile . "Sir , haha! you might be having a hearing difficulty syndrome it's 'cath' " (giving him a wide forced fake smile but wanting to smack his face  deep down .)

Robert ; I'm fine ,I'm fine , you need not worry for me . Miss Cat ! ( still teasing her )

Catherine ; so ,may I know your good name sir? (In a sarcastic tone)

Robert ; It's Mr genius .Here take your cellphone ! I just had a spooky nightmare keeping your cellphone at home for one night .(passed her phone to her)

Catherine couldn't control her anger ,burst out some tears wanting to punch him to his insulting word which he was just teasing . "I'm here for an interview . Could you please stop mocking me!?" Robert felt sorry after seeing her tears and apologized gently starting away their interview . She rushed out from the office  with annoyance after completing her interview ,but fell down hard slipping from her high heels . Robert couldn't stop giggling after seeing the scene , but rushed to help her get up  until she ignored him  and ran off like a cheetah out of anger and embarrassment . Catherine spent her whole day cursing him ... meanwhile , Robert's whole day was in a light mode  recalling Catherine's incident . It was already past 6:00 p.m ,and Robert got ready with his cool cap, mask,gloves , jacket, all outfit with a complete black touch to start his mission .He drove to the suspected area and wait inside his car to capture the criminal .  He came across a gang of four armed men on an isolated street .Robert drove there with a hush but the boys saw him and ran towards his car fully glossed  with a dark glass . They knocked on his window to come out or smash his  car .He got off  submissively  in his cool  full black outfit  and started his  manly chats  to them ." Short people really likes to threaten a legend . You people are lacking chromosomes ,or being a wannabe gangster dwarf is your hobby ? " .The boss of the mafia gang was enraged  to hear his confident cool talks and  kicked in his stomach with a spine -chilling expression  "what did you just said? You should've bid an advance farewell to your parents before meeting us tonight... since you'll be transformed into a lifeless spirit from human tonight."  Robert went close to  the leader of the gang and said "I heard that lines in a cartoon channel .You cute dwarf."  And gave him a death knock on his neck leaving back the other three members stunned . He turned towards them "Oops! Your leader just got to see heaven ."  One of them noticed Robert's bandaged hand covered with gloves  and targeted that with a hard kick leaving him in pain  but smart Robert managed to fight, leaving them lifeless. The leader gained back to sense a with a hard breath but Robert haven't knock him to death to collect the information , looking down to the mafia's body on the ground  ." I made your three ugly disciples 'a spirit' .Now , go back to your main boss and deliver my message to him . Say 'thank you ! for murdering the innocent and kill the young boss of that company as rapid as he could' . Also , not forgetting to mention me .. 'a  mysterious legend of the town ' okay ! " After that , Robert let the dropping blood from his injured hand srinkle on the face of the criminal and got inside his car , shouting .. "your handwriting on that wall of the victim  was awful " and drove off. He got home, tired with major injuries on his hand and got treated by  himself .The next morning ,Catherine woke up to his father's fury mood to hear the news of a murder of three men on the street from the last night's incident . Meanwhile , Robert took a day off from his office and watched the news of the murder with a smirking face on his sofa .
