Nina’s POV
I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, forcing the air into my lungs like it could steady the storm inside me. My heart hammered against my ribs, loud enough that I swore Sabina could hear it. The room felt smaller, the air thicker, charged with something I didn’t want to name.
Sabina pulled back. Her mouth left my skin with a soft, wet sound that made my stomach flip. She studied me for a second, lips parted, eyes dark and unreadable. Then she smiled—small, almost gentle.
“I won’t force you,” she said quietly. “But you can watch. And if you want… join us.”
