Nina’s POV
The guards grabbed my arms hard. Their fingers dug into my skin. I screamed and tried to pull away. “Let me go! This is my house! You can’t do this to me!”
They did not listen. They dragged me up the stairs while I kicked and yelled. “Papa! Help me! Tell them to stop!”
My father stood at the bottom of the stairs and watched. His face stayed cold. He did not say a word. Stefan stepped forward. “Do you need me to get backup?”
I shook my head fast. Tears burned my eyes. “It is okay. I am home now. Nothing will happen to me.”
Stefan looked at me for a long second. He took a drag from his cigar and blew the smoke out slowly. “I will be in a hotel nearby. Text me if you need anything.”
