40 The vicious storm roiling about within Kyle’s chest had simmered to a distant thunder, and as the control he had lost decided to put in a reappearance, the black of his eyes began dispersing, allowing the first splices of white to poke through. Brook sat within Kyle’s hold upon a brick wall he’d carried her to at the foot of the garden.
