The next two weeks were busy for both Jess and Stacy, they rarely met for dinner. Sometimes they would all work late and get home tired. They wouldn’t see each other in the morning so they would all take breakfast on their way to work. They knew that Christmas would come around and they would have plenty of time to be together. Jess yearned for it, it would be the first Christmas together. She had already proposed to go camping with her girlfriend at the mountains in Tennessee. Stacy had been excited about it and was also looking forward to it. Scarlet had stopped speaking to Jess completely. Jess had avoided igniting anger in her and kept silent too. Even after the office Christmas party, they didn’t talk to each other. Jess had left early because they were leaving for Tennessee that night. Stacy had already left the office and was packing for camping. They were going to spend the holiday in the mountains in a leased wood cabin in the woods. It was scary but she liked the idea, mainly because it was Jess’.
“Hey, you already packed?” Jess asked when she got home. She had taken the train to downtown after work where she was supposed to pick the truck they were going to use. They were going to drive for about six hours before resting at a motel and drive for about seven hours to the cabin. They would have taken a flight but Stacy had preferred to take the road trip. And they had two days before Christmas. They had all agreed to meet at the cabin with four of their friends they were to camp with.
“Yeah, actually everything is ready, just help me carry these bags to the truck.” Stacy said after Jess placed a peck on her lips.
“I think I need to change.” Jess said, walking past Stacy. She was still wearing the same outfit she wore at work that day; red T-shirt and a pair of white trousers.
“But you look so god in that outfit. I promise you’ll change when we get to our first stop” She said in a soft voice. Jess turned around, kissed her girlfriend and carried one of the big camping bags to the trailer. Soon they were ready to leave until New Year’s.
“Let’s go baby.” Jess said to Stacy as when approached the truck outside their apartment. She jumped into the truck and Jess started the engine. The trip was going to be fun for both of them.
“So I have never gone camping, like ever.” Stacy said as she adjusted the seat belt.
“Really?” Jess asked, smiling at her.
“Yes, you have?” Stacy asked.
“I camp every year in Tennessee. I think I just love the cold and lone environment up there.” Jess said. She had started camping to avoid stressing all alone since her mum passed on.
“With the same guys we are going to camp with?” Stacy asked. She wanted to keep the conversation going with her quiet girlfriend.
“Yes, same people.” Jess answered.
“How come I’ve never met any of your friends?” Stacy asked, looking at Jess sternly. Jess’ eyes never left the road, with one hand holding on to the steering wheel.
“Well, I wouldn’t call them friends. I don’t have friends.” She said. “They are more like people I know, people I talk to.”
“That’s basically what friends are babe.” Stacy said, reaching out to hold Jess’ free hand.
“Well, okay, I don’t know about that but we talk, through email every other month. Anyway, now you’re doing to meet them tomorrow.” She said. She was glad that her girlfriend was taking notice of her interests.
“Thanks for agreeing to do this with me.” Jess added. She felt her girlfriend squeeze her hand as she slid back to lean on her seat while still holding her girlfriend’s hand.
They drove for hours and Stacy had already fallen asleep when Jess pulled over at a gas station, three hours away from New York City. She filled up the tank and a few gallons before she climbed up the truck and put the gallons. She went back to the car and covered Stacy who was sound asleep. She started the engine and continued driving towards Tennessee.
All way to a small town where they were to get a motel, Jess had been thinking about the events within the last few weeks. It is amazing how I didn’t see this coming, she thought. She was referring to meeting Scarlet, having a crush on her and even thinking that she would have anything with her. She still didn’t understand why she had thought about it that way. She hadn’t thought if she was ready to lose the woman that she really loved. But here she was, she wasn’t going to let anything ruin their vacation. She turned to look at Stacy who just woke up.
“Look who’s up.” She said, smiling warmly at Stacy.
“Damn baby, you’ve not slept. Let me drive.” Stacy said, rubbing her eyes from sleep.
“I am doing alright boo, just relax.” Jess assured her, even though she could use some rest.
“I can tell you’re tired, and I miss driving anyway.” Stacy insisted.
“Tell you what, I am tired. Let me pull over and you can cross over and drive to the motel, it’s about an hour away or so.” Jess said as she pulled over and unfastened her seat belt. Stacy did the same. She reached out to open the door but Jess pulled her close. She smiled and pecked her on the lips as she crossed her legs over. She knew Jess didn’t want her to get out of the vehicle.
“Aha, damn, aren’t you hot.” Jess said, barely audible.
“And I am all yours,” Stacy said as Jess moved from the driver’s seat to the passenger. Stacy slipped into the seat and started the engine.
“So you didn’t tell me how the long drive was.” Stacy asked, keeping her eyes on the road, there was no response and she looked at her and she was already asleep. She must have been tired all day from work and having been the first person to drive for hours without stopping. She decided to put on music. She was driving while singing along to the music Q-Radio while tapping on the steering wheel. She was excited but then a little sad that up to this time she hadn’t been able to figure her girlfriend out yet. She wanted to make most out of the vacation. She glanced at her sleeping girlfriend as she looked forward to getting to the motel. They both needed rest before heading to Tennessee.
The traffic was heavier than normal since many people were traveling for vacation and Christmas holidays. However, Stacy was able to pull in front of the motel at around 4 AM. Jess was still sleeping when they got there. Stacy parked the truck before going into the lobby. She got a room for both of them and went back to wake Jess.
“Damn, that was fast baby.” Jess said as she opened the motel room. Her voice was a little husky from sleeping.
“Not really, we actually took about two hours to get here.” Stacy said. Jess glanced over at her watch and it was only six minutes after 4AM.
“I lost track of time. But we can catch some good sleep and drive to Tennessee tomorrow in the evening. I means today.” Jess said, chuckling.
They both wanted to sleep from exhaustion but they preferred to take a shower together. The motel bathroom was large enough for the couple and so was the hot tub in the bathroom. Jess stripped off her clothes as Stacy watched. She always admired her for all that she was.
“I can feel your eyes staring at me” Jess said.
“Come on, I can’t even watch you strip?” Stacy asked, letting out a laugh.
“Wait, you love to see me naked?” Jess asked. She was getting all shy with this conversation but she wanted to be a little more casual than normal.
“Get in the tub, don’t be shy.” Stacy said.
They both got into the tub and Stacy was quick to bath Jess who leaned on her bare body, she could feel her breasts pressing against her back. Jess didn’t move, she closed her eyes and let herself feel as Stacy’s hands massaged her shoulders. Her palm felt so soft and Jess would groan every time Stacy’s nails touched her bare body. She loved the sensation, it was such a turn on to her. Stacy stopped moving and instead kissed Jess on the necks. Her soft and moist lips sent chills down Jess’ spine. She wanted to turn around and devour her. She wanted to feel her toned body in her arms, kiss those soft lips and hear her moan. Thoughts were running through her mind when she couldn’t control herself anymore. As tired as she was, there was nothing that would keep her from her lust for Stacy. She wanted to make love to her that morning. She spun around and cupped Stacy’s cheeks in her palms. She kissed her deeply, as though she forcing it in. Stacy grabbed a handful of Jess’ hair and pull it back a little before she started running her fingers through her hair. This turned Jess on even more. She was about to put her left n****e in her mouth when her phone wouldn’t stop ringing.
“Are you going to take that?” Stacy asked.
“No, I will call them back during the day.” Jess said. She didn’t want to leave the tub. However, after several rings, Jess decided to go check. She picked a towel, clicking her mouth and walked to the room. She found her phone on the bed and it was still ringing. She was shocked to see that it had been Scarlet. She didn’t want to pick up the call. Instead, she put her phone on silent mode and walked back into the bathroom. Stacy had already dried herself and was wrapped in the hotel robe. She stood by the sink while brushing he teeth.
“Who was it?” Stacy asked. Jess froze wondering whether to tell the truth as it was or to come up with a lie.
“It’s probably my family, around this time they look for me using their different lines. Sometimes they can’t tell when it’s too early to call.” Jess lied.
“Uh, okay. Let’s go to bed then.” Stacy said. She hadn’t doubted Jess at all, and she had never expected her to lie to her, at least not about any other woman.
“I liked it better in the tub but you’re right, we should go to bed, we only have a few hours to sleep.” She said, tossing the towel in the laundry basket in the bathroom. She brushed her teeth and went to bed. The two ladies cuddled to sleep for about five hours before Jess woke up. She went to fetch for some food and maybe coffee for her girlfriend. She wore a hood and boots and went to the nearby store at a gas station like seven blocks away. She got into the truck and drove off.
Stacy woke up at the same time Jess left. She had been woken up by the bang at the door while Jess left. She was never quiet. She rolled over and at the same time Jess’ phone buzzed and she picked it up. She wasn’t afraid of anything as she trusted Jess. It was Scarlet calling her girlfriend and this was going to affect their vacation. She decided to pick up the call anyway
“Hello, Jess’ just left” She said on answering the call.
“Oh, hello. Tell her to call me back, I have something I want to her” Scarlet said and hang up.
