walking on the sideway luoisa's phone beeps after looking at the notification her face lightens up she immediately calls her friend
" hello.." cindy picks up
" cinndy, guess what " luoisa says.
" whatt happened, did someone asked you out? " cindy says on the other side of the phone
" noo that's no..., ah I'll just say it, I just got an email saying my deparment is going to be promoted" luoisa tells
cindy replies still focused on her work " yah, soo"
luoisa starts telling again" sooo if my department got promoted some doctors will also get a promotion right?"
" yehh, right, so you're getting a promotion? " cindy replies
" not sure yet, but I saw my name on the list " luoisa tells very excitedly
cindy has been always supportive and happy for luoisa she's her only friend since high school
" ohh bestie sooo happy for you' congratulations, though I can't express it properly right now I'm working you see"
luoisa smiles and says " yahh it's ok, I just wanted to tell you, when are you free by the way, come to my place later this evening let's have some drinks"
cindy still typing on her computer " This evening? I think I can't bestie, my mother again set up a blind date for me"
" what? again? " luoisa shouts in surprise
" yeesss" cindy says
" oh gosh I suppose your mother won't give up until and unless you get married and have kids" luoisa says
cindy laughs and says " haha yeh right, But I can't even refuse her"
" so what now? you'll choose marriage? " luoisa asked
"nahhhh, I'm not thinking about marriage yet you know it, I'll just think of some ways to reject him too it's not new to me anyway" cindy tells
" yep you better, don't you dare leave your friend behind" luoisa says jokingly and both laughs
Just then someone calls cindy " luo, let's continue later ok my boss is calling seeya bye-bye" leaves without hanging up
" ok seeya" luoisa says hanging up the call and continues walking .
She enters the cafe, this place was the only place she liked to visit for coffee, she goes inside and stands in line waiting for her turn to order, after making an order she takes her usual place to sit, near the big glass window at the corner of the cafe after a few minutes she heard her name being called out so she got up and went to get her coffee, while waiting she noticed a tall man ahead of her and thought people this tall also exist she was amazed suddenly the man turned around and walked pass by her he gave a smile to others who were amazed by his good looks and were staring at him. She thought his face looked familiar so after getting her coffee she quickly walked out of the cafe and followed him as if she had hundreds of questions to ask her feet just led her to him.
"Excuse me" she says from behind
the guy turns back and she noticed his eyes, the finest dark brown colour she had ever seen in her entire life with long lashes which made it more attractive,
"yes?"he replies
"have we ever met before? " luoisa asks directly looking at his eyes
he stays silent for a bit and smirks "Is this a new way to flirt this days? " he said
luoisa came to her senses and relised what did just do without a proper thought and says " ah I so sorry, I didn't mean to" looks away feeling embarrased and continues " I didnt meant what I said just forget it " turns around and starts walking away she whispers to herself " what was that, why did I do that".
suddenly she hears his voice from back " excuse me"
she stopped walking and turns around
" Dwen" he says
she got confused and asked " wh-what? "
" my name, DWEN , may I know your name? " he said and smiled.
Yet again she was amazed standing still without a word.
