Aria's POV
“Luna Keira!” The panic gasp and screams from the Pack members snapped me back, and I forcefully took control from Zie, as my hands stopped last minute.
I looked down at Jaxon and his eyes widened-from shock this time around.
I looked at his chest and realized that if I was even a second late, Zie, no me. I'd have killed Jaxon Rivera, right in front of his Pack members.
If that isn't a straight ticket to the goddess, I don't know what is.
“Never underestimate your opponent, remember?” I said, trying to sound casual, as I got off him. “Even if they're your mate,” I added for effect.
I stretched a hand towards him, trying to make it seem like this wasn't personal-but it is, at least to Zie, and for the sake of Lyra.
Jaxon didn't take my hand, and just observed me.
