Everyone was getting ready for the fierce Lycan Kings visit. My nerves were a wreck as I cleaned the pack house. Tristan was helping his father getting everything and everyone ready for the offering to give the Lycan king, the rest of the pack ignored me as I was doing my chores. Cleaning and cooking for everyone like a maid, which I probably was.
My plan was simple as soon as everyone was busy I'd leave. They wouldn't notice me slipping away to find a better life, my wolf form never came which can only mean that I was human and nothing more, nothing special. It broked my heart knowing I'll never know what it feels like to transform. To be free and find my mate like the rest.
A loud noise caught my attention outside, it was a howl that sended shivers down my spine. That wasn't an ordinary wolf's howl, that was a Lycan howl, much deeper and more chilling. They were early, which meant everyone was distracted now, I needed to take action quickly.
I hurriedly scurried up from the floor abandoning my attempt to scrub it clean before running to my room and changing into clean clothes while grabbing my duffel bag before existing the house.
This was it, my freedom from al the torment and bad memories. It just felt so easy. My heart skipped a beat as I felt warmth in my chest, freedom and relief.
Once again I was running through the woods, probably lost but far away from the evil pace I called home for seventeen years.
Goosebumps rose on my arms as I felt a presence, I was not alone. A dark shadow ran past me, I could see others as well.
The were big. Bigger than anyone ever described them, suddenly one stopped in front of me.
It was a women, her tall body was nothing more than muscle on muscle her fur a color between grey and black almost charcoal and her eyes, they were pure white like milk while her claws were a onox black and as long as knives.
She was half transformed in her Lycan shape.
" And where are you going little wolf? The king wants to meet you," she said was strange smirk her voice muffled from being in half wolf and human form sounding more animalistic. She almost looked pleased while looking at me.
Suddenly I was being lifted like a bag of potatoes over someone's shoulder. I froze when a clawed hand gripped my leg, holding me in place, a warning to stay still and keep quiet obviously.
Everything went by in a blur.
Lycans were fast, like really fast the speed of them running made me nauseous.
We arrived at the pack house in no time, my head was spinning from the Lycan speed.
As the stranger placed me down, a strange smell filled my nostrils.
It was sweet, like honey mixed with something like sandalwood.
Someone grabbed my chin forcing me to look at them.
The most amazing pair of eyes stared at me. Hazel green with a hint of gold in them, the sweet smell was coming of from his body as well.
The Lycan King,Julian was staring me. I was scared. Wolf or no wolf I felt the need to submit before he uttered one word that made my blood run cold.
"Mine," he growled, while the rest of his pack howled in victory.
