Tones ring out in the middle of the night. Ems please be enroute to 412 n e street possible signal 30. She grabs the radio in the dark and replies. “ems clear”. She jumps out of bed throws her bra, pants and shoes on and runs out the door with her partner behind her. Both jumping into the ambulance and shutting the doors she hits the lights and sirens and her partner pulls out the drive. “Ems enroute” she says threw the radio. On scene she meets up with her friend Russel the chief of police. “What do we got?” she asks. “Hey girl!” “Man late 30’s gunshot wound to the head. There’re signs of a struggle so you know the drill! M E won’t be here for another 35 minutes or so. Russel says. “We’ll be right back.” She states. Walking in the front door she notices there’s broken glass all over the floor. Stepping carefully not wanting to disrupt the scene. They walk into the living room area that is dimly lit. the patients lying face down in a pool of blood. Not being able to move the body she squats down and feels for a pulse. “Nothing.” she states to Jacob her partner. “Get a 4 lead and let’s confirm!” she states. “Yea, cover both our asses!” Jacob states. Both staring at the monitor she states “asystole!” they pack up their equipment and head back outside. “Dude, guys a goner.” she says. “yea I figured.” Says Russel. “Ok well were headed back to bed. I have class in the morning.” She states. Hi, my name is Josephine Tyler. Joe for short. I am a paramedic with Grady county Emergency medical services. I’m attending school to get my instructor. Of course, being in Ems I work all the time. Yea I know what you are thinking I have no life. “Single white female” singing. I am 5’7’’ long curly brown and copper-streaked hair that comes down to my boobs. I have a slim body except for my boobs and butt, making me have an hourglass figure. From a young age, I’ve always been told I am a natural beauty, so I rarely wear make-up. Singing is my passion; music is what helped me threw when my mom suddenly died right before my 18th birthday. I’ve never really known my dad. He disappeared when I was five, just vanished without a trace. My maternal grandparents moved when I was ten to Arizona. leaving just me and mom hear in small town Oklahoma. When I was younger, I frequented a bar named Stan’s thinking it might help bring me out of my shell and help me meet people and karaoke. I was always a bit awkward growing up. Very graceful if you get my drift wink wink. I didn’t have many friends throughout school just one. I had known her since kindergarten, she was my bestie, and we were inseparable. She made things bearable threw high school, and after mom died. The year after we graduated, we had a falling out, and I haven’t spoken to her sense. I got a job not long after at a dispatch center (answering 911 calls). Which is what led to me wanting to be a paramedic. When I had finally finished school, it was time for my first job. The first day was so nerve racking, although my life changed for the better. So here we are, five years later working the best job in the world. Its Jacob, and I against the world. Jacob and I are inseparable. Although life was not easy for me it has finally turned around. I have this strange feeling that things are about to change again and I’m not sure if that’s good or bad.
